I registered Resource Tuner because I saw great potential for using it to edit the GUI of programs I have on my system. What really made me like it was when I was able to remove the ads from ICQ by editing the icqcore.dll file. I also see potential for editing system bootscreens and other things. UPX Unpacker: Additional Functionality
Open UPX-compressed files seamlessly in Resource Tuner, without long workarounds.
Resource Tuner ships with the static UPX Unpacker plug-in. This is a start-up processing plug-in for unpacking files compressed with UPX by Markus F.X.J. Oberhumer, László Molnár & John F. Reiser.
When you open a file with Resource Tuner, the UPX Unpacker plug-in detects whether the file is packed with UPX, and if so, this file will be unpacked automatically. The resulted file will also be saved unpacked. Resource Tuner does not re-pack the previously packed files back to the exact original size.

Resource Tuner unpacks only files compressed with UPX. The UPX Unpacker plug-in works on packed malware executables and can handle an UPXed file even if it has been modified manually so that UPX cannot be used directly to unpack the file.
The UPX Unpacker also supports decompressing files packed by various UPX scramblers which make UPX-ed files unpackable: Advanced UPX Scrambler, UPoLyX, UPX Lock, UPX Mutanter, and more.
Plug-in Manager
The Plug-in Manager lists all the plug-ins that Resource Tuner has. When this is open, you can set priority for a selected plug-in. Larger values have greater priority, zero disables the plug-in and marks it red.
